Our Purpose:

“Distinguished Speakers Forum” is a collaboration of faculty, staff and students that brings outstanding leaders to campus to encourage dialogue and raise awareness about current issues impacting our community.

 

Past speakers include:

Arun Gandhi - "Lessons from my Grandfather"
Kwame Jackson - "Lessons from the Boardroom"
Joey Cheek - Olympic Gold Medalist and Darfur Activist
Angela Davis -"Arts, Education, Activism: beyond Rhetoric to Action" Co-sponsor

Johnetta Cole - President Bennett College for Women

Getting Involved:

UNC Charlotte Distinguished Speakers Forum is a working committe made up of student, faculty and staff positions. If you are a student interested in getting involved please print out the application below. If you are staff or faculty please contact sjschmid@uncc.edu. Why should students join DSF? This is a chance to make an impact on campus and develop your marketing, event planning and leadership skills.
